Lady boner.
Of you are being shot at in the water you don’t stand up you get low to that water because that could stop a bullet from killing you and you are a slow target anyways standing up in 3 feet of water so you might as well use the only advantage you have and also what the fuck is Lara doing getting shot at from BOTH sides of the river?
She’s cosplaying a *VIDEOGAME* character…one that is a gun-toting archaeologist .. you expect realism? Can we not just enjoy the artistry that is occurring here?!
Via imagine how is touch the sky

A graphical representation of the contradictions in the bible. Each red line links 2 contradicting statements.
WILL ALWAYS REBLOG.
WOAH
This reminds me of a really fascinating theological idea I read once. It poses that God meant for the Bible to be full of contradictions, because it isn’t an instruction manual, but a test of character. If you can read through all the books and stories, all the confusing, contradictory statements, and you still choose to take home a message of peace, acceptance, and forgiveness, then you’ve passed God’s test.
I’m not a very religious person, but I still really like that idea.
^ I like that interpretation :D
I’m not enough of a Bible scholar to sit here and debate/refute/whatever all of these contradictory statements.. but I would like to put my 2 cents in. What most people do not realize is that there is a difference between Old and New Testament law. So a good chunk of these “contradictions” are there because the “law” changed. God establishes a new covenant with Moses that changes some of the rules, because the old rules were for a different set of circumstances.
Part of this rule change, is where the 10 Commandments come in. Now, it is literally impossible to keep the 10 Commandments unless you’re God, and that’s kind of the point. He didn’t give the commandments and say “follow all of these or go to hell”. He said “If you love me, you will strive to keep my commandments”. He knows He’s the only one perfect enough to keep all of them, but He put them up as a goal to reach towards.
I could keep on rabbit-trailing on that for a while, but back to the contradiction thing.. the theological idea that was posted before me.. that’s also a really cool thought.. I don’t quite agree with it, but from what I know of my faith, yes, the ultimate goal of Christianity is love, peace, acceptance, and forgiveness. That’s why He sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins.
I don’t like when people post things, “facts” or “proofs” without understanding the whole story. If you don’t believe as I do, that’s totally cool, I will never try to cram my beliefs down your throat, or “convert” you. God just calls us to share with others, that’s it. It’s then between them and God. But please don’t spread misinformation, and tout it as “proof”. That was a bit long-winded.. but it’s just my two cents :)
In which I speak about strands and whatnot
All around me
Life’s threads are spinning,
The Master Weaver’s guiding
The pattern I cannot see.
Though I see many, gorgeous, threads
And for a time we may cross
They have all found their place
With other threads
In this tapestry of life.
They come and go
Some short and long
And all do shape my strand,
But where’s the one, the special one
that joins mine hand in hand.
The Master Weaver’s pattern
is perfect, flawless, complete.
Though for now a single twisted string
I yearn for a knotty yarn,
He says to me; looks at me;
“A frayed knot”
